Yerevan 2800th Anniversary Park

A wonderful park was gifted by the Vardanyan family in honor of Yerevan’s 2800th anniversary. Every corner of the park emphasizes the cultural heritage of the Armenian people. At the entrance, majestic statues of a bull and a lion are located, and the park itself resembles a vast carpet when viewed from above.

A long alley is surrounded by unique trees, specially brought to the capital. Exotic varieties of magnolias, stewartia, cherry blossoms, and almond trees, weeping willows, and abundantly flowering apple trees mentally transport us to imperial gardens.

The fountain ensemble is equipped with a powerful underground structure and regulated by a wind force sensor. 2800 water jets soar into the air at varying heights, rotating, foaming, arching, and refreshing visitors with coolness. The granite basins of the fountains and the thirst-quenching drinking fountains are adorned with traditional ornamentation. In the central part of the park, there is a map of Yerevan made of pink quartzite.

Statues of children are placed at the end of the park, where in a reduced scale, the entire city of Yerevan unfolds before us. Their figures drawn from the past symbolize childhood aspects like imagination, happiness, care, and innocence.

After sunset, the park’s fountains start releasing multicolored jets. The River Razdan lights up in blue, and under the illuminated arch, even in the evening, everyone tries to pass through.

Young and modern, yet with a deep respect for history, that’s how the park in honor of Yerevan’s 2800th anniversary looks like!
