Miniatur Wunderland
The museum is located in Hamburg, in the historical part of the city, Speicherstadt, and has been steadily growing since 2000.
The Miniatur Wunderland is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest working railway model.
Miniature objects made on a 1:87 scale show various regions of the world.
Austria, Italy, America, Scandinavia, Germany, Switzerland, Venice, and the fictional city of Knuffingen.
A day in the Wunderland lasts only 15 minutes. The enchanting light of more than 500,000 built-in LED lights begins to stream as dusk falls.
Visitors follow the winding corridors of the two-level museum and observe the lives of small people, the operation of land and water transport, and the takeoff and landing of airplanes.
The length of the railway tracks exceeds 16 kilometers. There are 1,231 digitally controlled trains and more than 12,000 wagons. There are also a huge number of houses, bridges, 292,110 figures, and 157,000 trees!
Guessing the sights and paying attention to details will make your trip to the Wunderland interesting and unforgettable!
Moving models, well-thought-out elements, lots of surprises, and one of the most spectacular effects – the erupting Vesuvius!
