Fluffy moment
She’s never still, always on the go,
Up and down, high and low,
Left and right, she turns with grace,
Looking around, a quickened pace,
Then forward she strides with glee,
For a nut from the hand, as happy as can be!
Each squirrel needs to gather three thousand nuts for the winter. Some they hide in tree hollows, others they bury in the ground. From the forgotten seeds, trees will grow! Squirrels cannot live without protein, which is found in nuts. These little creatures can be treated with hazelnuts, walnuts, and pine nuts. It’s especially important to feed these rodents in early spring when it’s so hard for them to find food!
